The Rogue Platinum has a standard front seat center airbag, which deploys between the driver and front passenger, protecting them from injuries caused by striking each other in serious side impacts. The Corsair doesn’t offer front seat center airbags.

When descending a steep, off-road slope, the Rogue Rock Creek’s standard Hill Descent Control allows you to creep down safely. The Corsair doesn’t offer Hill Descent Control.

Both the Rogue and the Corsair have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, front wheel drive, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, driver alert monitors, available all wheel drive and around view monitors.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration does side impact tests on new vehicles. In this test, which crashes the vehicle into a flat barrier at 38.5 MPH and into a post at 20 MPH, results indicate that the Nissan Rogue is safer than the Lincoln Corsair:

Side impacts caused 23% of all road fatalities in 2018, down from 29% in 2003, when the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety introduced its side barrier test. In order to continue improving vehicle safety, the IIHS has started using a more severe side impact test: 37 MPH (up from 31 MPH), with a 4180-pound barrier (up from 3300 pounds). The results of this newly developed test demonstrates that the Nissan Rogue is safer than the Corsair:

Nissan pays for scheduled maintenance on the Rogue for 2 years and 24,000 miles. Nissan will pay for oil changes, tire rotations, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance (up to 3 visits). Lincoln doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Corsair. (Lincoln offers free mainteance on some Corsair models.)

There are over 2 times as many Nissan dealers as there are Lincoln dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Rogue’s warranty.

A reliable vehicle saves its owner time, money and trouble. Nobody wants to be stranded or have to be without a vehicle while it’s being repaired. Consumer Reports rates the Rogue’s reliability 27 points higher than the Corsair.

J.D. Power and Associates rated the Rogue third among compact suvs in their 2025 Initial Quality Study. The Corsair isn’t in the top three in its category.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2025 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Nissan vehicles are better in initial quality than Lincoln vehicles. J.D. Power ranks Nissan second in initial quality, above the industry average. With 37 more problems per 100 vehicles, Lincoln is ranked 19th, below the industry average.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2025 survey of the owners of three-year-old vehicles provides the long-term dependability statistics that show that Nissan vehicles are more reliable than Lincoln With 6 fewer problems per 100 vehicles in the first three years of ownership, J.D. Power ranks Nissan higher than Lincoln.

On the EPA test cycle the Rogue gets better mileage than the Corsair running its gasoline engine:

To lower fuel costs and make buying fuel easier, the Nissan Rogue uses regular unleaded gasoline. The Corsair with the 2.0 turbo 4-cylinder engine requires premium for maximum efficiency, which can cost on average about 84.9 cents more per gallon.

The Rogue has 3.4 gallons more fuel capacity than the Corsair Grand Touring’s standard fuel tank (14.5 vs. 11.1 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The Rogue’s standard front and rear disc brakes are vented to help dissipate heat for shorter stops with less fading. The rear discs on the Corsair are solid, not vented.

The Rogue stops much shorter than the Corsair:

For better traction, the Rogue has larger tires than the Corsair (235/65R17 vs. 225/60R18).

The Rogue has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The Corsair doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

The Rogue Platinum handles at .84 G’s, while the Corsair Premiere AWD pulls only .79 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.

For better maneuverability, the Rogue’s turning circle is 1.7 feet tighter than the Corsair’s (35.4 feet vs. 37.1 feet).

The Nissan Rogue may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 200 to 750 pounds less than the Lincoln Corsair.

As tested by Car and Driver while under full throttle, the interior of the Rogue Platinum is quieter than the Corsair Grand Touring (73 vs. 74 dB).

The Rogue has 2.9 cubic feet more passenger volume than the Corsair (105.4 vs. 102.5).

The Rogue has 1.6 inches more front headroom, .5 inches more rear headroom and 2.6 inches more rear hip room than the Corsair.

The Rogue has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat up than the Corsair with its rear seat up (36.5 vs. 27.6 cubic feet). The Rogue has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat folded than the Corsair with its rear seat folded (74.1 vs. 57.6 cubic feet).

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) conducts detailed tests on headlights for their range both straight ahead and in curves and to be certain they don’t exceed acceptable amounts of glare to oncoming drivers. The Rogue’s headlights were rated “Good” by the IIHS, while the Corsair’s headlights are rated “Acceptable” to “Poor.”

Manual rear side window sunshades are available in the Rogue to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The Corsair doesn’t offer rear side window sunshades.

When the Rogue with available tilt-down mirrors is put in reverse, both rearview mirrors tilt from their original position. This gives the driver a better view of the curb during parallel parking maneuvers. Shifting out of reverse puts the mirrors into their original positions. The Corsair’s mirrors don’t automatically adjust for backing.

According to iSeeCars.com the 2025 Nissan Rogue retains 51.38% of its original value after 5 years, more than the 49.01% resale value of the 2025 Lincoln Corsair after five years, which can save the Nissan’s owner up to $6360.09323 in depreciation.
